What Prevents The Plaque From Entering The Openings Of The Mesh In Heart?
I just got a heart stent at the LAD area. In looking at videos online showing the medicated mesh stent, it shows the stent pushing the plaque or flattening the plaque to the sides of the artery. My question is what prevents some of the pushed aside plaque from entering the openings of the mesh?

As you explain the situation the pressure of the sides of the stent prevents the plaque to get in the lumen of arteries again. Also, the stent has a medication that is an anticoagulant which keeps the blood thinner to prevent the above event.
