What Medication Can Be Taken For Pain In The Muscles?

My primary care doc did lab work and ruled out any auto-immune disorders last week. My chiropractor says I have 8 to 10 active trigger points that continue after 2 years to cause pain after exercising or gardening. Which makes sleep an issue since I lay on my back where the triggers are in my trap muscles. Baclofen certainly helps relax my muscles but it doesn t feel like it is helping what I feel like might be overactive nerve endings that are angry when I lay down at night. Any ideas on a medication that might help just those areas to relax without a lot of side effects? I continue to do my myofascial release work at least once a month with my chiropractor. thanks tim

Hi,

You can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist, better to consult a physician rather than chiropractor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
