What Makes The Stools Turn Like Sandpaper With Coffee Grounds In It?

Hello I am a 40 year old female. I have crohn s disease and IBS. Well I have been having between 4-6 stools that look like sandpaper with coffee grounds in it. I am also having a lot of right side back pain. Night chlls. Should I seek medical attention.

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
stool can appear as sand paper with coffee ground due to slow bleeding from small intestines (Ileocolitis-most common form affects the ileum & the colon) as
stool usually not grossly bloody in Crohn's disease . Also constant pain, often in Rt lower quadrant and not relieved by bowel movement is common in Crohn's disease. you should go for test like stool for occult blood immediately (be on meat free diet for three days before testing) and consult your doctor.
