General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Depo Medrol shot contains methyl prednisolone that belongs to the group of medications known as steroids or corticosteroids is used in the treatment of various inflammatory conditions like arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriasis, SLE, asthma, COPD, allergic reactions, blood disorders, certain cancers and many more. But like other medications this medication has some side effects of this medication. It may cause pain, swelling, redness, stiffness at the injection site. Other side effects are muscle pain, joint pain, neck pain, back pain, chest pain and many more. Most of these side effects are self limiting and usually go away over time. But if these side effects persist for long or bother you then you should consult your prescribing doctor immediately for medical help.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
