What Is Your Opinion About Administering Vercid Medication During Last Stages Of Life?

Hello. My dad has entered hospice care and is at the end of life stage. He is a critical care patient with advanced cancers and I , as POA was asked if he could be administered a drug called Vercid, not sure of spelling, because it will make him more comfortable with his final hours. Should I consider this? He has endured pain for ten plus years and now it is level 10+ and has to have a constant morphine drip. Help please
