What Is The Treatment Time Taken For H. Pylori?

How many days do we take treatment for H. Pylori using the triple drug treatment kit of clarithromycin 250 mg, pantoprazole 20 mg, and tinidazole 5oo mg? Should I take all three tablets twice or once a day?

Should I take a prokinetic like mosipride too? If so in what dosage?

Hi
Thanks for your query.
I appreciate your concern for the duration of Triple therapy for the eradication of H. Pylori infection.

The current recommendation of Triple therapy is as follows:
Pantoprazole, Clarithromycin and Tinidazole to be taken twice daily for 14 days.

After completion of triple therapy, the Pantoprazole should be continued once daily for a total of 4–6 weeks to ensure complete ulcer healing

Eradication is currently defined as negative tests for H. pylori at least 28 days after the end of antimicrobial therapy.

There is no need to take Mosapride.

Hope this answers your query.
