What Is The Treatment Or Any Cure For Rheumatic Arthritis?

My RA= + since 2010(starting age-31) till today. ESR gone high. RA factor gone high. Titter/Pecker gone max high. I just started to take Plaquenil after so many doubts on RA and medication. Even changed hospital and looked for second opinion Rheumatologist . The last resort for RA is ...start treatment and just follow doctor s instruction. it will help to reduce pain and Inflammation. Do not look for a cure answer or solution for RA. It s a NO . I have learned my lessons in these 3 years. Those with RA: Please get your Rheumatologist to help you. Thanks

Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Without an exam, I can only give general information. There's quite a number of treatments.

Generally the more involved and complex are used later. First, Aspirin-like drugs and physical therapy. Then, perhaps short course of steroids. Then disease-modifying agents.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
