What Is The Treatment For Swelling At The Surgery Site?

I have gone through surgery for sebaceous cyst and still after 3 months there is a swollen lump type area where the surgery was done and sometimes there is itching and pain also. What should i do or how that can be cured. please advise Thanks Vikram email id YYYY@YYYY

Hello,

Perhaps there is a low grade infection at the surgery site. I would suggest you to take an oral antibiotic e.g. either Amoxicillin or Cephalexin for a few days. You may take an OTC oral anti-inflammatory e.g either Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for symptomatic relief from pain.
