What Is The Treatment For Itchy Vagina During Pregnancy?

I am almost 39 weeks pregnant, and occasionally i get very itchy inside my vagina, and then it hurts to pee. It s been like that my entire pregnancy and my doctor has never said there was anything wrong, they just have said i have a little bit of protein in my urine. What could this be?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion the itchy vagina might be due to candidiasis. But if you dont have any first vaginal discharge associated with candidiasis then it is ruled out. There is alteration of vaginal ph under the influence of hormones in pregnancy. So leading to itching.Nothing to worry. If there is no infection it can be left untreated. The protein in urine needs to rule out high BP.
