What Is The Treatment For High Fever And Loose Motion?

Hi My son is 5yrs old and 20kg, he suffered from high fever since friday evening and was having 103 fever on saturday night , which came down after body sponging at nearest hospital. now his fever has gone but is having sever loose motion. currently he is taking clamp kid 5 ml and fluzet 5ml thrice a day and, we started this medication since saturday morning, but since sunday ,morning he is having loose motion and it has intesified since monday evening.
I have give him one dose of Econorm in the evening, but i still do not se improvement. Please suggest

Hello,

Loose motions are probably from side effect of clamp kid syrup through Amoxicillin component.

Recommendations at present are:
- Give plenty of liquids including oral rehydration salt.
- Stop further doses of clamp kid and talk with your doctor about diarrhea as he requires the change of antibiotic molecule.
