Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

A seizure is physical findings or changes in behavior that occur after an episode of abnormal electrical activity in the brain. The term "seizure" is often used interchangeably with "convulsion. Investigation recommended by me to rule the cause are:

- Electroencephalogram (EEG)
- Computerized tomography (CT) scan
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- Positron emission tomography (PET)

If cause can not be ruled out by regular tests these higher tests should be done to find out the cause. Treatment wold be started according to the results of the reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rishu Saxena
