What Is The Treatment For Ear Discharge?

I am sufferenging from csom from long back. My both ears discharge periodically and after taking medicines on doctor s advice it dry. now I am 57 years old and I have no other problem like B.P., Sugar etc. though I am not having a sound health. Last about one year my ears discharge regularly and inspite of lot of medicines it is not getting dry. Local Doctors advice me for surgery. Please advice me whether surgery is safe at this stage?

Hello,

It may be due to acute suppurative otitis media.

For that, you may require antibiotics ear drops after ENT consultation.

You may require antibiotics after consultation.

Maintain proper hygiene.

Avoid ear piercing. Continue steam inhalation and Betadine gargle.
