What Is The Treatment For Depression?

hi. awhile ago, i experienced depression. I cried so hard, closing my fist. it took almost 45 mins. but when i was going to stand up, i nearly fall because i cant open my fist and my feet are curled up. my heart beats faster than normal and i feel very hot. My body were trembling and my fingers cannot be opened especially the thumb. now, my dad treated my with some special massages and soak my body parts (toes and hands) in a hot water. now, my question, what had happened to me? My mom was so nervous she was going to call for the ambulance. Thank You. :)

Hi,

In my opinion, what you experienced was not depression but acute and severe anxiety which led to the sustained muscle contraction. A stressful event is likely to have preceded the symptoms. I do not think it is a cause for concern, but it must have been very alarming for you and your family. Please try practicing relaxation exercises. This will help bring down anxiety levels.

Best wishes.
