What Is The Treatment For Constipation And Vaginal Bleeding?

I'm 35 years old and have had two children. For the past two years, every time I get constipated, I have vaginal bleeding. It's light, but can last for a week or so afterwards. My doctor wants to put me back on birth control to see if it will help, but unfortunately insurance will not cover the birth control that I can take. Is there anything else that could be causing this bleeding?

Hello,

Constipation is multi factorial as digestive enzyme deficiency, lack of liquids and fiber in the diet, activity related or others.

Vaginal bleeding is due to hormonal imbalance effect on the uterus, has to be worked out with ultrasound of the pelvis with OB GYN.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
