What Is The Reason For Having Strange Bubbly Feeling In Throat After Eating Food?
I have a strange tickley/almost bubbley feeling in my throat - seems to occur later in the day - like a few hours after I have eaten. It makes me feel like I need to cough, but I have no other cold/allergy symptoms... Has been happening for a couple of weeks now.... What could it be!
Hello, Thank you for asking at HCM. I carefully read your question and understand your concern. If you get those bubbley feeling in the throat after food it might be due to acid reflux. It is generally worse towards the end of the day and especially after big meals or sparkling drinks.
I would recommend you to have frequent small meals during the day, avoid caffeine, smoking and alcohol. Avoid greasy food and spicy ones. Make sure you have your last meal at least 3 hours before going to bed. Avoid sparkling drinks.
If your symptoms are still bothering you, can use over the counter antiacids or omeprazole. If no help with those you will need to see a doctor. Hope this is helpful and answers to your question
