What Is The Reason And Treatment Of Nausea Due To Disc Degeneration?

hellow my close relative is suffering from severe lower backache doc told after examine x ray that it is l5 s1 disc degeneration he gave painkiller and antacids pain releaved but nausea is persistent since yesterday what is reason and treatment of nausea..shud v go for further investigation blood tests r within normal limits

Disc degeneration itself usually doesn't cause nausea. Pain from the disc problem and painkillers can cause nausea. If he has only been having nausea for a day or 2 after taking painkillers, I would not worry about it. If he were my patient, I would ask if the nausea started after taking the pain pills. If it did, I would consider changing the pain medicine or prescribing something specifically for nausea. If he had lots of problems with nausea before taking painkillers or if it continues after he stops them, I would start investigating further.
