What Is The Prognosis For Chronic Heart Failure?

Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to obtain an idea of how long an 89.5 year old man who has been officially diagnosed with CHF at age 86 and is currently not interested in receiving any further intervention would have to live in terms of months or years. He will not have any further operations or treatments and just want to let come what may. He currently sleeps a lot and is rather frail. He is curled somewhat from the changing shape of his bones and his legs are swollen and red all of the time. He sounds like he speaks under water a great deal. He used to walk some but now just to the grocery. He may have lapses of memory.
Basically I would just like to know how much longer a person can sustain life in this condition? He was diagnosed at 86 years old and now is 89.5years old. How many years would be a likely guess? Or is it months?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I would like to say that the chronic heart failure can be best treated with medicines only and right choice of pharmaceutical agents gives very good results and of course can live up to the normal span of life without complication, have a nice day.
