What Is The Preparation For Early Stage Pregnancy?
I was wondering what i should expect. I had 4 faint positive hpt then started bleeding had blood work and realized my hcg levelswere at 25 ml and then was told to test the next day and they went up to 33. Had an ultrasound at my dr appt and she didnt c anything in my tubes just blood going to my uterus. Theb she had me take another bloid test and results came in yesterday that my levels were at 25 again. So she needed another blood test. Sge said i was early in pregnancy what should i be prepared for.
Thank you for the question and I am happy to help.
I am sorry about your experience in early pregnancy. While bleeding is very common in early pregnancy it is a concern with regard to the possibility of miscarriage. One way that we sort out whether or not this is normal implantation bleeding versus a miscarriage is to check hCG levels. The hCG levels showed double every 48 hours. While the 1st 2 levels were only 24 hours apart, given the slow rise from 25 to 33, the likelihood of a miscarriage is very high. It is uncertain from your question when the repeat level of 25 was obtained. Given the drop from 33 to 25, what your describing is consistent with a very early miscarriage. I am very sorry about your loss, and wishes the best of luck in the future.
I hope that this helps and good luck. Dr. Tim
