Hello,

Your fiancée is suffering from itching, burning and pain in the vagina. She tested positive for E.coli infection. She should take a course of antibiotics, specific antibiotics will be indicated in the (R/E and C/S) report of Urinalysis for E.coli. She should take plenty of water orally to stay hydrated and well lubricated. She should avoid using public washrooms and toilets. She should not douche the vagina, avoid scented pads or creams, bubble bath, feminine sprays. Always wipe from front backwards.

Avoid sex for a couple of days till she is on medicines. If she is experiencing vaginal dryness, she can apply water based moisturizers or creams for relief. She should not touch or scratch the affected area. She is suggested to get clinically examined by an OBGYN, both partners should get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. Other medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are yeast infection (bacterial vaginosis).

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
