What Is The Pain In My Tooth When I Eat?

Yes my tooth in the back has a hole right in the middle that you can see my gum right through it so now when I eat I get a unberable pain that shoots through my ear and straight to my head like a stabbing pain on my gum...what is it and can my tooth be saved

Hello, Welcome Thanks for consulting HCM,

I have gone through your query, as you have mentioned that you have hole in tooth and painful gums also , dont worry you can do is for temporary relief you can take painkiller ,

One tablet Paracetamol twice daily,and then consult dentist and go for investigations IOPA XRAY
if it is carious tooth involving deep Portion of tooth then go for Root canal treatment and if tooth has Periodontal problem pocket formation is there then go for Oral prophylaxis Currettage also,

Do warm saline gargle 3 - 4 times in day
