Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hi my name is umer and i have painin my lower back since last seven years doctors and x.ray report said that i have,nt any disc problem it is just muscles spausm and they gave me painkillers and gels ,but i do nt rid of this pain .please guide me what is your opinion about this and now this pain is extending to my thighs and knees.
Hi Umer, The lower back pain, most frequent causes can be: -Musculo-skeletal, when the pain doesn't irradiate in the thighs and knees -or from pinching of a nerve on his way to the limps, who may give this pain who gets spread on the way the nerve is.
In your case, the fact that its getting worse, and not better, looks like the muscular spasms you maybe had before, is complicated with a nerve pain. The most important thing is to identify who is the factor that aggravates the pain, and doesn't allow to get better. Like a specific movement you are doing in your job, or lifting heavy weights in the wrong way, or even a new evaluation to the doctor after a new physical exam since 7 years is a long time.
Hope this helps, Feel free to make questions if anything unclear.
