What Is The Natural Remedy For Cold And Congestion?

I have had a cold since Christmas that won't go away. Prior to getting sick I did a 3 day whey detox, first 2 days I was not feeling well but the 3rd day I felt good. I haven't been able to excercise and feel just blah! I have excessive amount of conjestion and a lot of mucus that sits in my throat. My family is sick of hearing my trying to expel this, I refuse to take over the counter meds or antibiotics. What can I do naturally?

Thanks for the query to HCM Forum.
It seems that you are having asthmatic allergic bronchitis as all symptoms mentioned in query is indicating towards that.
In such type of cases , steam inhalation provides great relief.
Avoid fumes, sprays, smoking , dust , sudden fall and rise of temperature , powder .
All these symptoms are due to allergy and bronchoconstriction .
In such cases usually I prescribe monteleukast + bambuterole ( combo pack tablet ) once or twice in day , depending upon the severity of symptoms.
Since this is a prescription medicine , so consult a physician and get his help.
