What Is The Most Effective Medicine For Single Fiber Neuropathy?

What is the most effective medicine for single fiber neuropathy? My husband is presently taking Neurotin 300mg for 9 days 2 pills one in the AM and one in the PM. Also, Nortriptyline 10 mg once at night. He is still in great pain especially at night with head, arm, hand and leg pain. What do you recommend we do to ease his pain since he is getting Only 4-5 hours of sleep and it is not at one time.

Hello,
Treatment for such cases really becomes difficult.
First and foremost is to treat and control the basic cause like diabetes,hypothyroidism,alcoholism,HIV,lupus,nutritional deficiencies.
Innaddition you can try DULOXETINE and VENLAFAXINE.
Supplementation with VIT D and injectable VIT B12 would help a lot.
You have to give some more time for drugs to have proper effect.
Discuss with your doctors about the drugs mentioned above.
