What Is The Dosage Of Asthalin Be Administered To Child With Dry Cough?

Hi doc, My son is 16 months. He is having dry cough. Its troubling his sleep. It started two days back. He is having running nose too. Am having two med with me that I had given for the same reason under doc prescription. Asthalin syrup Cetrizine syrup But now I donno the dosage. Please help He weights 9kg

Thanks for the query.
The dose of asthalin for a child weighing 9 kg is 3 ml every 8 hourly.
Regarding cetrizine I dont think he needs cetrizinefor his running nose because it causes pretty good sedation and secondly small children with running nose are better off with saline nasal drops which can be put in his nostrils (2-3drops each nostril,5/6 times in a day )safely for many days if needed.
Kindly do see your doctor if his cough does not improve with all these measures.
