What Is The Difference Between Morr-F And Morr Forte?

Hi, Is there any difference between Morr F (5%) solution and Morr Forte (5%) solution. My dermatologist prescribed me Morr F 5% but the chemist handed me Morr Forte 5%. I didn t notice till today. Could you confirm if using either one is fine? Morr F label says Minoxidil and Finasteride Lipid Solution . Morr Forte label says Minoxidil Topical Solution . Both are from Intas.

I can appreciate your concern for the difference between Morr-F & Morr forte.

The difference is about the presence of Finasteride.

In Morr-F (5%) solution the active ingredients are : Minoxidil, Finasteride, whereas Morr forte (5%) solution contains only Minoxidil.

Both of the above medications are effective in the treatment of baldness.
However, since you have been prescribed to use Morr forte 5% solution it is better adhere to it.

Addition of Finasteride increases its effectiveness in the treatment of baldness and that is the reason your treating doctor has prescribed you Morr-F (5%) solution.

If you wish to use Morr Forte 5(%) solution, please take an opinion from your doctor.
