What Is The Cracking And Popping Sound In The Head At The Base Of Skull?
I have a strange cracking and popping sound in my head at base of skull every time I move my head, has been about a month now and I am worried. No pain but my neck sometimes feels stiff as if my head is too heavy. I know that sounds silly but it is really worrying me. I am 38 and have always been fit and healthy.

It could be cervical spine related problem. Consult an orthopaedician and get evaluated. You have to get an MRI scan for further assessment.
