What Is The Correct Dosage Of Dolo For Fever?
My daughter is 11 years old and weighs about 40 kgs. She is having fever since yesterday. We gave her Dolo 650 mg twice yesterday with a gap of 6 hours. The fever is recurring after every 5 to 6 hours. Please advise. Also, what is the correct dosage of Dolo for her age/weight.

I am so sorry to hear about this persistent fever in your daughter. The dosage is 15mg/kg every 6 hours without exceeding 1000mg. You daughter therefore needs about 600mg every 6hours. However, this drug reduces fever but doesn't treat the cause. This is while it would tend to recur when the action of the drug wears out over 6hours. Get her consulted so that you can get the cause diagnosed and managed accordingly rather than just suppressing the fever alone.

hello,Usual oral dosage:Children 11 years 32.4-43.2kg 480mg/day. So i think what u r giving is slightly high,the correct dose fr ur child would be 150-300 mg, three to four times a day.
