What Is The Cause Of High Sugar Level When On Glipizide?
Yes thank you Have had type 2 diabetes for 12yrs Aci always around 6.5 to 6.7 Started taking crestor 6 weeks ago and my numbers have incresed ttto 195 to 297 Dr suggested to add gliipizide Xr 2.5 mg I am on 500 er mg twice a day and glipizide w.5 once a day Even with the additional dose of glipizide sugar remains very high Is it possible this is due to Crestor 5mg everyother day? What statin would be used instead of crestor if that is the problem

AS far as crestor is concerned the side effects are muscle pain nausea and stomach pain,joint pains,sleeplessness etc Increase in your blood sugar levels may not be due to crestor.So discuss it with your doctor so that the cause for your high blood sugar can be detected and the dose of the medicines may be increased or the drugs may be changed.
