What is the cause of delay in periods in a person with negative pregnancy test ?

I took an ept because my period is 4 days late and it was negative But I still have no period. Whats up with my body?

Thanks for query,
I think you did pregnancy test early.
To get best result pregnancy test should be done after about a week,
ok and bye.
