What Is The Best Treatment For Infertility?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive and this last time I ovulated a week before my period. When it came time for my period i had light pink spotting the day before my period then it stop. Then the next day i started having brown blood and its been going on for 5 days now and ts been super light flowing. What could be causing this. I have never had this problem before I am 23 and healthy. My doctor is on holiday and cant get in till she gets back. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is possible that the bleed is implantation bleeding, which means you could be pregnant. As you have mentioned it is light pink to brown and lasted for 5 days with light flow and not like regular periods.

I would suggest you to do a urine pregnancy test at home. If the test is positive, you can see a doctor to get blood beta HCG levels and ultra sound scan to rule out ectopic pregnancy(other common cause of bleeding in early pregnancy).

It is not uncommon for women to experience slight bleeding or spotting in early pregnancy, particularly around the time of their regular period cycle.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ayesha Shareef
