What Is The Best Treatment For Restless Legs Syndrome(RLS)?
My father is suffering from RLS from last 20 yrs we are still to find the cause and treatment for it . we have consulted many neurologist but no affect .from last couple of months he has developed sleep talking and sleep walking any help in this regard is highly appreciated
Hello As you mentioned that your father is having R L S (restless leg syndrome ) from last 20 years and now , he is walking & speaking in sleep , yes these two symptoms are also due to R L S. Patients with this sensory-motor disorder reports a creeping or crawling dysesthesia deep within the calves or feet or sometimes even in upper extremities . The symptoms of RLS are exquisitely sensitive to dopaminergic drugs e.g. pramipexole 0.25-1.0 mg in the night or ropinirole 0.5 to 4.0 mg in the night ). Since these drugs are prescription medicine ,so consult a physician and get his opinion . Good luck.
