Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
today is my birth date and i am 29.when i was 3 and half my left leg broken because of polio.i can walk,run and jump easily.but i feel shame and un confortable.is there any medication??is that expensive??
Hi;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
If the leg was broken at the age of 3 and1/2 then if not properly treated at that time could have resulted in mal union or deformity.But since now you can walk jump and even run then its fine but if the deformity is giving you complex and feel shameful then you can go for a corrective surgery for which you can consult a Orhto surgeon.It will be painful and expensive if you do it in a private hospital but the expense will be comparatively low in a government hospital.You can discuss the benefits and the probable complications and drawbacks of the treatment with the Orthosurgeon and if the benefit is more and worth taking risk then if you feel it necessary you can opt for the treatment.
Thanks
