Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Best Medicine For BP And Physical Health
I use Metpure xl 50 for over 6 months 2 tabs a day along with nicardia retard 10 mg 1 tab a day. I have a pretty stable BP now and also doing a bit of cycling daily and swim once a week. I intend to give up on at least one of the above tablets to improve my overall physical health as the tablets have made my life less interesting and always carry a feeling of lowlife. I am 35 and feel like a man in my 40's... any guidance would be appreciated.
Your plan to reduce your medication requirement is the right goal. The important concern in your diet, beyond controlling weight, is the amount of sodium (common salt) that you take in every day. Ideal is Exercise should be anything that is aerobic, repetitive and maintained for longer than 20 minutes. Exercising every day should be your goal.
After lifestyle measures are instituted for 3 months, record your blood pressure on a schedule every day for two weeks at a time. When you meet with your doctor again, bring the record to help determine the need for medicine.
