What Is Recurring Dull Ache In The Chest Suggestive Of?

I have what I would call an ache (not a sharp pain) in my chest. Advil and Valtoren will relieve it and I am sleeping well. It is worse when I wake up from a sleep. I have had this 2 days. Sometimes my hips ache as well. Is this possibly a sign of an oncoming heart attach?

Hi '
dul aching pain relieved on taking NSAIDS ( ibuprofen ) can not b of cardiac origin, a cardiac origin of pain is a visceral pain and will never respond to pain killers. Cardiac pain typicaly responds to nitrates
Its not possible to have a on going heart attack pain for 2 consecutive days, going through your history muscular pain can be a cause in your case
please specify your anxiety levels ,and do you have gastritis or acid peptic disorder as pain caused by them also mimic cardiac origin pain .

but still i would advice you a ecg for prophylaxis , if ecg is normal you can take anti inflammatory for 5 days .
I find this answer helpful
