What Is Opipramol Dihydrochloride, Lonazep 0.25 Mg And Pantocid Dsr Used For?

I ve been prescribed Opipramol Dihydrochloride, LONAZEP 0.25, Pantocid DSR by an experienced MD. What is wrong with me? Previously another doctor prescribed me Droxyl 250, Digeplex T and Paracetamol. Its really confusing when the only similarity between both is the focus on my pancreas(?). Ps-Nobody I know is going to say that I and depression even come in the same line.

Hello! Let's get the drug facts straight first. Opipramol is a tricyclic antidepressant used primarily in Generalised Anxiety Disorder. Lonazep is a benzodiazepine used iin both anxiety (and in epilepsy but in much higher doses than prescribed to you)Pantocid DSR is a combination of Pantoprazole ( a gastric acid blocking agent) & Domperidone (given in nausea or vomiting). It is quite clear your first doctor was thinking on the lines of 'Anxiety neurosis & Acidity' as his diagnosis.
The second set of medicines includes Droxyl (Cefadroxil)- an antibiotic, Digeplex T(an enzyme preparation) and Paracetamol (for fever and pain). Here the doctor is thinking on the lines of an infection and has added an enzyme preparation to counter any indigestion you might have mentioned.
The two sets of therapy though given to the same individual are for two different conditions and are entirely unrelated. Hope that has sorted some of the confusion you might have felt. Do write in for more info. All the best!
