What Is Extreme Pain In Legs Indicative Of?

I had an MRI done in late 90s. Received a letter stating I should go and have someone take a closer look. well never did that. now I can t stand up straight all the timeouts to lift leg hurts when I try to turn over in my sleep and I actually cry out loud if u try to massage it

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have extreme pain in legs. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like achilles tendinitis , ACL injury , fibromyalgia , gout , herniated disk , rheumatoid arthritis , osteoarthritis or osteomyelitis. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like blood test , CT scan , MRI along with physical examination . Doctor may prescribe allopurinole , methotrexate , muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory along with physical therapy or back and legs . Doctor may also recommend surgery in severe disc problem . For now keep your legs in hot water tub for 15 minutes daily and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
