Orange Juice. It contains lots of potassium which has a lowering effect on BP. The "low acid" varieties contain more than the regular.
You might also want to eat more foods like bananas, strawberries and potatoes. All are rich in potassium. Do some research on the DASH diet. It will help you choose more wisely when it comes to food.
edit: Energy drinks contain caffeine - something you want to avoid with high BP.

Hello my moms blood pressure was close to 600, she was sick so I m just trying to see what would help bring it down I gave her water every hour to drink and I check her blood to see if it went down it is now at 340 any ideas that I can have in my house to bring it down?
I am 40 year old female. My blood pressure normally runs 120 s/ 80 s when it wasn t high. About a month ago I became real lightheaded, sick to stomach, confused, pale. I checked my blood pressure several times that day while lying down with legs propped up. My bp was running like 96/60... my pulse was ranging from 70 s to high 80 s. Everytime it was in the 70 s it would show irregular heartbeat. This all took place within like 7 hours... felt like crap and blood pressure alot lower than normal. Yesterday it was 104/59... 96/59... those are just a few readings and my pulse was running in the 80 s - 100 s. I drink coffee, smoke cigarettes. Is the reason for ER visit?? As it is starting to scare me. What could be causing this??
I checked my blood pressure today, just because, and its 140 over 99. I don t smoke, don t drink, have very little stress in my life, i m active throughout the day ( assistant site supervisor for a big homebuilder ), eat well and I feel great. How can I lower this rate and what foods should I be eating ?
