What Does Yellow Sputum Indicate?
Not medically pressing but what causes the yellow colour and sulfur flavor of most sputum in result of respiratory infection? Is it the white blood cells, other cells or different bodily chemicals? Interesting question I haven t found a lot of answers to.

Hello,
You have an abnormal color of sputum. Yellow color can be because of pus cells. It can be suggestive of infective etiology. For that, your work up was done as follow.
_Auscultation
_A complete blood count (CBC)
_Chest x-ray
_Sputum examination
According to cause specific treatment given. Consult a pulmonologist for examination.
