What Does Yellow Smelly Fluid Behind The Ear Indicate?

My one month old son has a lot of yellowlish smelly fluid behind his ear. I called the doctor and they told me it was cradle cap. But the yellowlish fluid has increased and the back of his neck is red and swollen. He has so much fluid that it stains his shirts and blankets.

Hi,
Welcome to Hcm,
Yellow fluid behind ear is something not normally seen in a one mth old especially to an extent you mentioned. Its extremely difficult to comment on without having a look. However the things that I can think of is pus secondary to some infection behind ear. I would suggest you consult a pediatrician for a proper opinion. Hope your child gets well soon. Take care.
