What Does Vaginal Spotting Indicate?

I just had some spotty bleeding from my vulva - NOT vagina. Had a small swelling just on the side of my clitoris, pressed on it, and a little blood came out. Saw my gynecologist for this 3 weeks ago and he diagnosed folliculitis and prescribed an anti-fungal. The symptoms have been coming and going ever since, the anti-fungal cream did nothing. Today it swelled some (size of a pea or smaller) and when I pressed it, it bled a little. I am a married 63-year-old female in good general health. Gynecologist did a urinalysis which came back negative. Can this wait until the doc s office reopens on Monday or should I seek medical attention now?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1.need to get your blood sugar checked
2. avoid using shaving blade to shave the pubic hair either using scissors to cut or use cream.
3.clean the area with warm water and apply Mupirocin cream twice daily . this will reduce the folliculitis.

Hope I have answered your query.
