Hi,

Unexplained weight loss refers to a significant loss of body weight without any intentional changes in diet or exercise. Losing 2 pounds per week for three months is considered rapid weight loss, and it is recommended that you see a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause.

Unintentional weight loss can be caused by several medical conditions, such as thyroid disorders, digestive disorders, infections, cancer, or depression. Additionally, it can be related to lifestyle factors such as stress, anxiety, and changes in sleep patterns.

Your healthcare provider will perform a thorough physical examination, review your medical history, and run some tests to determine the underlying cause of your weight loss. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause. In the meantime, you can try to maintain a balanced and healthy diet, exercise regularly, and manage stress levels to help support your overall health.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
