What Does Unexpected Weight Gain With Hair Loss Indicate?

I have been using E String for over a year...age 62.... and am experiencing weight gain and hair loss but most concerning is the developement of hypoglcemia! My blood sugar levels drop dangerously every day around 3- 4pm. My levels drop to 41, 36, 31 and even 28, depending on my activities (I exercise at the gym 3x a week) and what i have eaten that day. Is hypoglycemia being reported by other patients?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Hypoglycemia does not seem to be related to E string. For this reason, I recommend consulting with your endocrinologist for a physical exam and performing some tests in order to exclude possible insulinoma, which could lead to hypoglycemia. Performing an abdominal MRI may be needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
