What Does Tissue Mass With Attached Blood Vessels In Scan Indicate?

Hi I m a 49 woman I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and again reoccur acne in 2009 . I have a mass in my buttock that I had ultrasound scan on two weeks ago. My gp rang me today to say the scan showed a mass that had lots of blood vessels attached. What come it be? Is it likely to be cancerous.. Thanks Jill

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
A lot of blood vessels attached to it can be a cancerous lesion or a hemangioma.
I suggest you to get a biopsy done to confirm the diagnosis and get further management accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
