What Does This Variation In Creatinine Level Indicate?

i get monthly urine screens at my methadone clinic. in march my creatinine level was 341.5 . in april it was only 14.6! i was negative for all drugs and my methadone levels were perfect ( i did not flush my system in any way) then for may my level was back up to 328.4 . what could be the reason for this? they re withholding my bottle because of this even though i have been clean for quite some time. please help me get to the bottom of this.

Hello,

Your numbers don't seem right. A creatinine of 341.5 is impossible. A normal creatinine level is around 1-1.5. You may be looking at urea values but I can't be certain. Please repost your message with values again and reach out to me.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
