General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you are having burning sensation when you pee it is indicative of Urinary tract infection. However, infection with gonorrhea and chlamydia also manifest similar symptoms. You had routine test for urine done, you are recommended to do a culture-sensitivity test for urine so that specific antibiotics can be given for better and faster relief.

You should also do STD tests if you are sexually active as you will need treatment with antivirals / antibiotics if detected positive. Avoid sex for a couple of days. Take care of your hygiene, take bath regularly. Change clothes daily and wear loose fitting cotton clothes. Take plenty of water, you can take Alkacitron syrup, 10 ml with half cup of water twice daily for 7-10 days. Get examined by a GP, get treated at the earliest. Avoid addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
