What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Hi my mom of age 56 ,just had an ultrasound in her abdomen.inpressions were 1/borderline enlarged,fatty liver 2/unremarkable study. They said her liver measures 17.9 cm , she didnt give us a treatment and said she just needs to get on a diet.im worried because she just recovered from a spine infection and was takin lots of medication and i dont know if that has anything to do with it?she didnt give us enough info any suggestions or maybe can u help me understand the impression better?

There is nothing serious to worry about.
The borderline enlarged fatty liver as you mentioned, is a mild form and a relatively common finding.
It occurs due to many conditions, including obesity (overweight), diabetes, and alcohol intake.
In this mild form I'd agree to your doctor's advice and suggest only a low fat diet or weight control (if overweight).
