General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your semen analysis report suggests infection which is indicated by the presence of pus cells (10-15) and epithelial cells (++). Normally, there should not be any pus cells in semen. Infection may be due to prostatitis, epididymo-orchitis, or urinary tract infection. You need an appropriate antibiotic to eradicate the infection.

Rest of the findings like motility, morphology, etc., are normal. I suggest you consult a urologist and get yourself examined for the detection of infection. You may be asked to do certain lab tests such as CBC, urine analysis, culture and sensitivity of the semen, and an ultrasound scan. You should avoid smoking, alcohol, fast foods, and carbonated drinks.Do regular exercise. Use loose cotton underwear and drink plenty of oral fluids. Repeat semen analysis after completion of medicines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
