What Does This Pelvis And Transvaginal Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?

Hi, Had a UTS Pelvic/Transvaginal and I would like an interpretation of the result 1. The uterus measures 7.4 x 5.1 x 6.4 cm. The uterus is anteverted with endometrial stripe measuring 0.81cm, there us central posterior intramural hypoechoic mass measuring 1.2 x 1.0 x 1.2cm. 2. The cervix is closed and measures 3.6cm. I have been married for three years and was wondering if these findings have an effect on my inability to conceive.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of ultrasonography of pelvis is as follows:
The size of uterus is normal and its position of uterus is anteverted which is normal.
The endometrium is the thin inner lining of uterus which measures 0.81 cm.
The thickness of endometrium is also normal.
The posterior wall of the uterus shows a mass measuring 1.2 cm in greatest diameter.
The imaging characteristics of the mass is suggestive of fibroid.
Fibroid is a benign tumor of muscles in wall of uterus.
The cervix is closed as expected and is of normal size.
A fibroid of size 1.2 cm is unlikely to cause difficulty during conception.
However, it should be monitored for any increase in size.

Thanks and take care
