Hi Dr. I am Rachel, 23 years of age. Last month (June) I went to a local clinic for Endocervical Smear Test which I got results of this month. I am very confused by my results as I did not get any explanations concerning them. The following state my report from Cytopathology. National Screening Program : Symptomatic Specimen Type :Conventional Smear satisfactory for evaluation : Yes with endocervical component absent/insufficient Final diagnosis : negative for NILM Recomendation : Repeat with endocervical component SO MAY I PLEASE HAVE A CLARIFICATION ON WHETHER I HAVE TO REPEAT PAP SMEAR TEST AND IS MY HEALTH GOOD OR NOT. What Does This Cytopathology Report Indicate?
Hello, This report is suggestive of inappropriate sampling. The sample does not show any endometrial cells. So no comment on uterine pathology possible. So get done repeat pap smear.
