Went to emergency for a few symptoms of heart issues...sweating while having a headache down the back of my head and across the top of my shoulder and at the same time having pain in my hand and foot. I didn't go right away because once my headache went away all the other symptoms went away at the same time. However when I got home from work and took off my shoes, my feet were badly swollen...so I went to emergency. Everything checked out ok...electrocardiogram, chest x-ray, leg sonogram and catscan of my head. I was released with a Rx for compression stockings. After checking my numbers for the blood work I noticed that three tests were flagged low: RBC 3.79, Hemoglobin 11.3 and Hematocrit 34.9. There was one high on APTT 33.1 What could these combinations possibly indicate?
you have only mild anemia. The cause can be dietary (low iron intake) but it can be also from blood loss (in this case is expacted a more significant anemia). The APTT 33.1 seconds is normal. As for the other symptoms you have to perform some lab analyses azotemia creatinemia proteinemia, albuminemia etc...
